Before you contact a clinic
Write down your preferred travel window, the language you need for the conversation and the practical questions you want answered. Keep your plans provisional until the clinic confirms the relevant details directly. Do not treat a social-media post or an English-language website as confirmation of clinical language support.
Your 12 questions
Confirm the right place
1. Which exact clinic and branch am I contacting?
Ask for the Korean name, street address and official contact channel.
2. Who will answer my clinical questions?
Ask how to arrange a consultation with an appropriately qualified clinician, rather than relying on promotional messages.
3. What language support is available?
Confirm whether it covers the clinical consultation, consent discussion and follow-up, whether an interpreter is involved and whether there is a separate fee.
Understand the proposed appointment
4. Is this a consultation only, or is anything else being proposed?
Ask what is included and what decisions can wait until after consultation.
5. How will the clinician assess suitability and explain alternatives?
Ask about the option of not proceeding, uncertainties, risks and the information the clinician needs through a secure channel.
6. Can I receive a written breakdown of the proposed fees?
Ask what is included, what may cost extra and which currency applies. A quote is not a guarantee of suitability or results.
Keep the journey flexible
7. Which dates are actually confirmed?
Ask about consultation availability, possible additional visits and how schedule changes are handled.
8. What travel or activity restrictions should I discuss with the clinician?
Do not infer a recovery or flying timeline from this checklist. Ask for advice specific to any proposed care before committing to travel.
9. What are the deposit, cancellation and refund terms?
Request the written terms before paying, including what happens if the clinician advises against proceeding.
Know what happens afterwards
10. Who should I contact with a concern after the appointment?
Confirm the clinic's contact route, hours and instructions for urgent concerns. A coordinator chat is not emergency care.
11. What follow-up is proposed while I am in Korea and after I leave?
Ask who provides it, how communication works, what it costs and its limitations.
12. How will the clinic handle my personal information?
Ask for its secure submission method and privacy information before sharing sensitive records or identification.
